Demonstrators tear down privatisation fencing bars (Thessaloniki, 7/6/2008)

What happened is a demonstration of hundreds of residents of Kalamaria (a large suburb of Thessaloniki by the sea) and Thessaloniki on the seafront of Kalamaria. There, privatization works fence the one open area after the other, so, after a decision of a residents assembly, the demonstrators tore down the fencing bars of the local marina that prevent free access to the seaside. This action was welcomed with applause from local people.

Εν συντομία, στην πορεία εκατοντάδων διαδηλωτών στην παραλιακή της Καλαμαριάς, όπου ο ένας χώρος ιδιωτικοποιείται μετά τον άλλον, μετά από απόφαση συνέλευσης κατοίκων, ξηλώθηκαν τα συρματοπλέγματα και ρίχτηκαν οι μπάρες εισόδου που εμποδίζουν την ελεύθερη πρόσβαση στην μαρίνα. Η κίνηση έγινε δεκτή με χειροκροτήματα από θαμώνες της περιοχής.

"Residents from 7 towns have blockaded since Saturday the existing dump of Tagarades in Thessaloniki, as well as the new "hygienic garbage burial area" in Mavrorachi. Residents of Assiros, Vertiskos, Langadas and Mygdonia have blockaded the national car road of Thessaloniki-Serres, as well as the entrance of Mavrorachi garbage burial area, that was scheduled to open on Saturday, because they regard these works are dangerous for their health."

"Κάτοικοι από επτά δήμους έχουν αποκλείσει το Σάββατο τόσο την υπάρχουσα χωματερή των Ταγαράδων στη Θεσσαλονίκη όσο και το νέο Χώρο Υγειονομικής Ταφής Απορριμμάτων στη Μαυροράχη. Οι κάτοικοι των δήμων Ασσήρου, Βερτίσκου, Λαγκαδά και Μυγδονίας απέκλεισαν την εθνική οδό Θεσσαλονίκης - Σερρών, καθώς και την πρόσβαση στο ΧΥΤΑ Μαυροράχης, που επρόκειτο ανοίξει επισήμως το Σάββατο, επειδή θεωρούν πως το έργο είναι ημιτελές και απειλεί την υγεία τους."...

Motorbike policeman attacked (Thessaloniki, 7/6/2008)

Youth attacked a motorbike policeman near AHEPA hospital (university area of Thessaloniki). He managed to get away leaving his bike behind him, and so, he got it damaged.

Occupation of the dean hall blocking students oath (Athens, 6/6/2008)

Solidarians from squated university infoshops and other students occupied the building of the dean hall of Athens, at Propylea, the day of the political department of the law school's oath. The central issue of the occupation was to support the prosecuted fighters of the student movement, against state repression, and calling for solidarity gatherings outside Evelpidon courthouse, in Athens, on 24 and 26 of June, 9:00 in the morning. After the intervention, the solidarians left with a march where a few hundred persons participated.

Αλληλέγγυοι/ες από κατειλημένα στέκια σχολών και άλλοι φοιτητές/τριες κατέλαβαν το κτίριο της πρυτανείας του πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, την ημέρα που είχε προγραμματιστεί η ορκομωσία του πολιτικού τμήματος της νομικής σχολής. Η κατάληψη είχε ως κεντρικό θέμα την αλληλεγγύη στους διωκώμενους αγωνιστές του φοιτητικού κινήματος, ενάντια στην κρατική καταστολή, και καλούσε σε συγκεντρώσεις αλληλεγγύης στις 24 και 26 Ιουνίου στα δικαστήρια Ευελπίδων, στις 9:00 πμ. Η παρέμβαση έληξε με πορεία μερικών εκατοντάδων αλληλέγγυων.

Attacks against nationalist bookshops (Athens, 5/6/2008)

According to reports from athens.indymedia.org and some mass-media, around 8 in the afternoon, two nationalist bookshops were attacked, at Exarchia, central Athens. The one of them holds the editions of Adonis Georgiadis, a parliament member of LAOS, a right-wing party, on Solonos 114 street, targeted also more than 10 times in the past. The other is "Pelasgos" a nationalist hang-out and bookshop on Harilaou Trikoupi street. Once evacuated from employees and clients, the bookshops had their glasswindows broken down and then were burnt with molotov cocktails, causing total damages to the shops and the merchandise.

Επιθέσεις εναντίον εθνικιστικών βιβλιοπωλείων (Αθήνα, 5/6/2008)

Σύμφωνα με αναφορές στο athens.indymedia.org και σε καθεστωτικά μμε, γύρω στις 8 το απόγευμα πραγματοποιήθηκαν επιθέσεις σε δυο βιβλιοπωλεία στα Εξάρχεια. Πρόκειται για τις εκδόσεις του βουλευτή του "ΛΑΟΣ" Άδωνη Γεωργιάδη, στην οδό Σόλωνος 114 (έχει γίνει στόχος ανάλογων επιθέσεων πάνω από 10 φορές στο παρελθόν), και ένα ακόμη εθνικιστικό βιβλιοπωλείο-στέκι, τον "Πελασγό", επί της Χαριλάου Τρικούπη. ΑΦού απομακρύνηκαν υπάλληλοι και θαμώνες-πελάτες, σπάστηκαν οι προσόψεις και ρίχτηκαν κοκτέιλ μολότοφ στο εσωτερικό, καταστρέφοντας ολοκληρωτικά χώρους και εμπορεύματα.

Arsonists hit party offices and claim (Thessaloniki, 4/6/2008)

"...unknown persons hurled a molotov coctail at 1:25 in the night in the ground floor offices of New Democracy on Gamveta street, causing minor material damages. 5 minutes lated a fire erupted in PASOK offices of Ano Poli, the mechanism used isn't still identified..." (from the mass-media).

The following text is a translation of a claim sent to directactiongr@yahoo.gr:


During the dawn of Wednesday 4-6-08 we attacked, with the fire on our side the offices of PASOK (socialist, opposition party) local organization of Koule Kafe and the offices of ONNED (ruling party's youth organization) on Gamveta street.

It was an action of resistance to the constant and increasing attempt of authority (whatever color it may have) to subordinate and strangle every voice that eludes from the institutional boundaries, aiming to create an infinite social cemetery, where the dogmas of order, peace and security rule. As a consequence of the above predominant targets, here comes the recent jury against the 7 and mainly its verdict.

The story begins in Thessaloniki, June 2003, during the EU summit. In a city turn into a fortress, beyond the festivities of the peaceful "counter"protests, there is a part in the streets that with dignity choses to attack state and capital. Which, having as a loyal friend the mass media, as a reply, make up some guilty and put 7 persons in prison. After a wave of solidarity with them and the hunger strike of 5 of them, the 7 leave prison during November 2003. On May, 28 2008, the party of the "state's re-instaurations" comes to end the game started by the party of the "democratic citizens".

After a jury that lasted for many days, the judicial gang together with its peaceful citizen-puppets as jurors, convicts 4 comrades with 6.5, 7 and 8 years. But, since as it seems even they can't deal seriously with the silly testimonies of any cop, they chose a middle way, this of probation, in an attempt to water down drollness. In their core, these perennial convictions are clearly an attempt to keep captive these specific comrades and also to set an example for all those fighting against the commands of authority.

The only thing the democratic regime achieves with its verdicts is to fire up our rage for the destruction of this rotten world.

Εμπρηστικές επιθέσεις σε κομματικά γραφεία και ανάληψη ευθύνης (Θεσσαλονίκη, 4/6/2008)

"...άγνωστοι έριξαν βόμβα μολότοφ στη 01.25 τα ξημερώματα στα ισόγεια γραφεία της ΝΔ, στην οδό Γαμβέτα, Από τη φωτιά προκλήθηκαν μικρές υλικές ζημιές. Πέντε λεπτά αργότερα φωτιά ξέσπασε και στα γραφεία του ΠΑΣΟΚ στην Άνω Πόλη, χωρίς να έχει προσδιοριστεί το είδος του εκρηκτικού μηχανισμού που χρησιμοποιήθηκε..." (από τα μμε)

Τα ξημερώματα της Τετάρτης 4-6-08 επιτεθήκαμε, με σύμμαχό μας τη φωτιά στα γραφεία του ΠΑΣΟΚ Τ.Ο. Κουλέ Καφέ και στα γραφεία της ΟΝΝΕΔ στη Γαμβέτα.

Ήταν μια πράξη αντίστασης στη συνεχή και εντεινόμενη προσπάθεια της εξουσίας( όποιο χρώμα κι αν αυτή φέρει) να καθυποτάξει και να φιμώσει οποιαδήποτε φωνή ξεφεύγει από τα θεσμοθετημένα από την ίδια όρια , έχοντας απώτερο στόχο τη δημιουργία ενός απέραντου κοινωνικού νεκροταφείου, στο οποίο βασιλεύει το δόγμα της τάξης, της ησυχίας και της ασφάλειας. Σαν απόρροια των παραπάνω στοχεύσεων της κυριαρχίας , έρχεται και η πρόσφατη δίκη των 7 και κυρίως η απόφαση αυτής.

Η ιστορία ξεκινάει στη Θεσσαλονίκη τον Ιούνιο του 2003 , στη σύνοδο κορυφής της Ε.Ε. Σε μια πόλη μετετραμμένη σε φρούριο, πέρα από το πανηγύρι των ειρηνικών «αντί»διαδηλώσεων, υπάρχει και ένα κομμάτι στο δρόμο που με αξιοπρέπεια επιλέγει την επίθεση σε κεφάλαιο και κράτος. Το τελευταίο, έχοντας πιστούς φίλους μαζί του τα Μ.Μ.Ε., για αντίποινα κατασκευάζει ενόχους και φυλακίζει 7 άτομα. Ύστερα από ένα κύμα αλληλεγγύης προς το πρόσωπό τους και την απεργία πείνας 5 εξ’ αυτών, οι 7 αποφυλακίζονται τον Νοέμβριο του 2003. Στις 28 Μαΐου του 2008 , τους όποιους ανοιχτούς λογαριασμούς είχε αφήσει τότε η «δημοκρατική παράταξη»έρχονται να κλείσουν οι «επανιδρυτές του κράτους».

Μετά από μια πολυήμερη δίκη , η δικαστική δράκα μαζί με τους φιλήσυχους πολίτες-μαριονέτες στο ρόλο των ενόρκων , καταδικάζει 4 συντρόφους με 6,5 ,7 και 8 χρόνια. Επειδή όμως όπως φαίνεται ούτε για αυτούς οι αστείες καταθέσεις των οποιοδήποτε μπάτσων αρκούν, επιλέγεται η μέση οδός , αυτή του ανασταλτικού χαρακτήρα των ποινών για να μετριάσουν την ξεφτίλα. Στην ουσία όμως, οι πολύχρονες ποινές που επιβλήθηκαν είναι σαφές ότι επιχειρούν να θέσουν σε ομηρία τους συγκεκριμένους συντρόφους, αλλά και να παραδειγματίσουν όσους μάχονται ενάντια στις προσταγές της εξουσίας.

Το μόνο που καταφέρνει το δημοκρατικό καθεστώς με τις αποφάσεις του είναι να φουντώνει την οργή μας για την καταστροφή αυτού του σάπιου κόσμου.

5:00 in the dawn and brigades of riot-policemen attacked the occupation of the ash and coal belt conveyors of the Agios Dimitrios power plant by residents of Riaki and Agios Dimitrios (Kozani), arresting 6 persons, members of the local Association on unemployment and for the environment. Next thing, technicians of the PPC (public power company) set in charge the auxiliary belt conveyor, putting away the possibility of a black-out and the political pressure it would bring. The police re-occupied the plant gate with riot police buses.

Same afternoon, residents of the area gathered outside the courthouse of Kozani, where the 6 arrestees were prosecuted, having their mobile phones taken away so as not to be able to communicate with a lawyer or a fellow fighter. The residents clashes face to face with the policemen outside the courthouse, but were repelled with excessive tear gas use.

The same time, 8 riot police brigades attacked against residents gathered near the factory, arresting 3 persons, the one of them they had previously injured and driven to the hospital.



These last mobilizations of the residents have started 3 years ago, under their demand for employment of local residents in the PPC plants and the immediate taking of measures against the pollution caused by the plants. The area of Kozani has several power plants, because of its coal resources, producing the largest part of Greece's electric power, with the correlative effects on the residents health and life conditions and on the environment and its wildlife.

Στις 5 τα ξημερώματα, διμοιρίες των ΜΑΤ επιτέθηκαν στην κατάληψη που πραγματοποιούσαν κάτοικοι των δημοτικών διαμερισμάτων Ρυακίου και Αγ. Δημητρίου Κοζάνης στους ταινιοδρόμους λιγνίτη και τέφρας του ΑΗΣ Αγ. Δημητρίου, συλλαμβάνοντας έξι άτομα, μέλη του τοπικού συλλόγου για την ανεργία και το περιβάλλον. Στη συνέχεια, τεχνικοί της ΔΕΗ έθεσαν σε λειτουργία τον εφεδρικό ταινιόδρομο, απομακρύνοντας το ενδεχόμενο μπλακ-άουτ, και την πολιτική πίεση που θα σήμαινε κάτι τέτοιο. Η αστυνομία ανακατέλαβε την πύλη του εργοστασίου με κλούβες των ΜΑΤ.

Το ίδιο απόγευμα, κάτοικοι της περιοχής συγκεντρώθηκαν έξω από τα δικαστήρια όπου παραπέμπονταν οι συλληφθέντες, στους οποίους είχαν αφαιρεθεί τα κινητά τηλέφωνα ώστε να μην μπορούν να επικοινωνήσουν με δικηγόρους ή συναγωνιστές τους, και συγκρούστηκαν σώμα με σώμα με τους μπάτσους, οι οποίοι έκαναν εξ επαφής χρήση δακρυγόνων σπρέυ.

Την ίδια στιγμή, 8 διμοιρίες των ΜΑΤ επιτέθηκαν σε κατοίκους συγκεντρωμένους κοντά στο εργοστάσιο, πραγματοποιώντας 3 συλλήψεις τον έναν από τους οποίους είχαν νωρίτερα τραυματίσει και μετέφεραν στο νοσοκομείο.



Οι τελευταίες κινητοποιήσεις των κατοίκων έχουν ξεκινήσει τρία χρόνια πριν, με αίτημα την πρόσληψη μόνιμου προσωπικού στη ΔΕΗ από τα γύρω χωριά, και την άμεση λήψη μέτρων για την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος από τους ρύπους των εργοστασίων της ΔΕΗ.

University entrance control bars broken down (Thessaloniki, 1/6/2008)

Ξήλωμα μπάρων ελέγχου στις εισόδους του ΑΠΘ (Θεσσαλονίκη, 1/6/2008)

On the beating of security guards at Aristotle University (Thessaloniki, 30/5/2008)

Keep in mind that in Greece, the police is not allowed to arrest people inside the universities ("sanctuary" law) unless a crime (e.g. a militant occupation or a street clash) is actually happening, partly as a conquest of the anti-junta students insurrection, back in 1973, so the police work inside the universities is done by security guards and often undercover policemen.

During the dawn of 30/5/08 we attacked 3 employees of a private security enterprise (ASPIS SECURITY) in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Our motive was clear: To reply - a minimum - to the social work that they recruited themselves on their own. Because, the honest job to wich they all refer to, includes the direct relation among private and state security. Incidents that start from threats and end to arrests come to affirm one and only thing: Where the police cannot intervene, there come its unbreakable branches.

As:
On May 5th, 2006 with the arrest of 5 persons after some clashes outside aristotle university. On September 9th, 2007 with the arrest of the anarchist Christina Tonidou, and with a more recent example, when they invaded a university self-managed infoshop and named persons as responsibles for the destruction of the university entrances' control bars.

All these prove the role of a security guard: to protect the bosses and co-operate with the police. Beyond all that, their threats against people that do skate and graffiti inside the university are well-known ("We will hunt you outside the university to turn you over to the cops" etc).

EITHER STATE OR PRIVATE, SECURITY WILL ALWAYS FIND US OPPOSED

ANARCHISTS AGAINST GENERALISED SECURITY

Ξημερώματα 30/5/08 επιτεθήκαμε σε 3 υπαλλήλους ιδιωτικής εταιρείας φύλαξης (ASPIS SECURITY) του Α.Π.Θ.
Το κίνητρο της ενέργειας ήταν σαφές: Η ανταπόδοση - στο ελάχιστο - στο κοινωνικό έργο που μόνοι τους στρατολογήθηκαν για να επιτελέσουν.
Γιατί το τίμιο έργο, στο οποίο όλοι αναφέρονται, περιλαμβάνει την άμεση σχέση ιδιωτικής και κρατικής ασφάλειας. Περιστατικά που αρχίζουν από απειλές και καταληγούν σε συλλήψεις ένα μόνο πράγμα επιβεβαιώνουν: ότι όπου η αστυνομία δεν μπορεί να παρέμβει χρησιμοποιεί τις άρρηκτες προεκτάσεις της.

Όπως:
Στις 5 Μάη 2007 με τη σύλληψη 5 ατόμων ύστερα από επεισόδια έξω από το Α.Π.Θ., στις 9 Σεπτέμβρη 2007 με τη σύλληψη της αναρχικής Χριστίνας Τονίδου και με πιο πρόσφατο παράδειγμα την εισβολή σε αυτοδιαχειρίζομενο στέκι του πανεπιστημίου και την κατάδοση ατόμων που φέρονται ως υπεύθυνοι για την καταστροφή μπαρών αποκλεισμού εισόδου στο πανεπιστήμιο.
Όλα αυτά αποδεικνύουν τον ρόλο ενός σεκιουριτά: να προστατεύει τα αφεντικά και να γίνεται συνεργάτης της αστυνομίας.
Πέρα από αυτά είναι γνωστές οι απειλές σε άτομα που κάνουν skate και graffiti σε χώρους του Α.Π.Θ.(<<θα σας βγάλουμε έξω από το άσυλο για να σας δώσουμε στους μπάτσους>> κ.α.)

Today, 31/5 at 12:30 an intervention against high-prices took places inside a large supermarket, Sklavenitis on Harilaou Trikoupi. Stuff of basic needs were expropriated (foods, detergents etc) and all of them were given to passerby people at the popular market area of Exarchia, together with fliers and the following text:

The last time, we all witness (literally and imaginary) a phenomenon that was always part of the tactics of employers and authoritarians in general. Needy products being sold in outrageous prices, because that's the way of the "free market". The same "free economy" that obliges us to lose half our lives in the workplace-dungeons for 600 euros. Basic stuff we need, that are produced in our locality, are sold in almost double price, than in other European countries. The same time, foods we find every day in our plates, like oil and olive oil, are still out of control, while they speak of thousands of tones polluted with mineral oils. Government and ministers talk of a few phenomena of speculators, trying with ridiculous communication tricks (see also their 41 measures against high-prices) to pacify the social unrest. Together with the known snitches (TV, newspapers) agreeing with whatever their bosses command. Of course, the rest of the political parties wouldn't stay out of the gate, talking in general of the uncontrolled market, for the isolation of the speculators and the meaning of consumer conscience. A conscience produced -of course- methodically, through TV ads and a systematic ultra-consumer culture.

Since we deny to join this set up game, we apply into action, our own pack of measures against the bosses uncontrollable speculation!

Απαλλοτρίωση προϊόντων από σούπερμάρκετ και κείμενο (Αθήνα, 31/5/2008)

"Περίπου 30 άτομα μπήκαν το μεσημέρι του Σαββάτου στο σούπερ μάρκετ "Σκλαβενίτης" επί της Χαριλάου Τρικούπη στο κέντρο της Αθήνας και αφαίρεσε τρόφιμα..."

Σήμερα 31/5 στις 12:30 πραγματοποιήθηκε παρέμβαση ενάντια στην ακρίβεια σε μεγάλο σούπερ μάρκετ, στο Σκλαβενίτη στη Χαριλάου Τρικούπη.Απαλλοτριώθηκαν είδη πρώτης ανάγκης(τρόφιμα, απορρυπαντικά κτλ)τα οποία μοιράστηκαν όλα στους περαστικούς της λαϊκής αγοράς των Εξαρχείων, μαζίμε τρικάκια και το κείμενο που ακολουθεί.

Τον τελευταίο καιρό, είμαστε όλοι μάρτυρες(κυριολεκτικά και μεταφορικά) ενός φαινομένου που ανέκαθεν διέκρινε την τακτική των επιχειρηματιών και των εξουσιαστών γενικότερα. Βασικά προϊόντα να πωλούνται σε απλησίαστες τιμές, επειδή έτσι είναι η «ελεύθερη οικονομία». Η ίδια «ελεύθερη οικονομία», που μας επιβάλλει να χάνουμε τη μισή μας ζωή στα κάτεργα των χώρων εργασίας για 600 ευρώ. Βασικά είδη διατροφής που παράγονται στον τόπο μας, πωλούνται σε διπλάσια σχεδόν τιμή, απ' ότι σε άλλες ευρωπαϊκές χώρες. Την ίδια στιγμή, τρόφιμα που βρίσκονται καθημερινά στο πιάτο μας, όπως το ηλιέλαιο και το ελαιόλαδο, εξακολοθούν να κυκλοφορούν ανεξέλεγκτα, παρόλο που χιλιάδες τόνοι βρέθηκαν μολυσμένοι με ορυκτέλαιο. Κυβέρνηση και υπουργοί μιλούν για μεμονωμένα φιανόμενα κερδοσκόπων, προσπαθώντας με γελοία επικοινωνιακά τρικ (βλέπε δέσμη 41 μέτρων για την ακρίβεια) να κατευνάσουν την κοινωνική οργή. Από κοντά και οι γνωστοί ρουφιάνοι τους( ΤV, εφημερίδες) σπεύδουν να σιγοντάρουν ό,τι διατάσσουν τα αφεντικά τους. Από το παιχνίδι δε λείπουν φυσικά και τα υπόλοιπα πολιτικά κόμματα, μιλώντας γενικά και αόριστα για ανεξέλεγκτη αγορά, για απομόνωση των κερδοσκόπων και για τη σημασία της καταναλωτικής συνείδησης. Μια συνείδηση που κατασκευάζεται -βέβαια!- μεθοδευμένα, μέσα από τηλεοπτικές διαφημίσεις και συστηματική καλλιέργεια του υπερκαταναλωτισμού.

Επειδή αρνούμαστε να μπούμε σε αυτό το στημένο παιχνίδι, εφαρμόζουμε στη πράξη, τη δική μας "δέσμη μέτρων" απένατι στην ασυδοσία των αφεντικών!
